Kiss You

Day 15: A song nobody expects me to like.

Kiss You by One Direction.

HAHAHA K. Yeah, I like it because it's upbeat. You know how I love upbeat music. But I guess I started really liking this song when Yassi Pressman sang this on Kalerki-oke (Pinoy version of Crazy Karaoke). She was riding the rodeo bull while singing this, and it was so funny. She was yelling "OH MY GOD" on every pause. Trust me, it was hilarious. HAHA. LOL. Love ko po si Yassi, and I liked this song because she sang it. AND, because Keso Boys made their rendition, too. Check it out:

Hi Elmo Magalona. Hihi :">

Let the Flames Begin

Day 14: A song I like hearing live.

Let the Flames Begin by Paramore.

OH THE FEELS. I just love live versions of this song. It gives me goosebumps all over. AAAAHHHH. I can't even describe how it makes me feel. OMG. <3

Just watch this video. Headphones on, lights off, full screen, volume on full blast. DO IT! :)

Somewhere, weakness is our strength.

Making Up for Day 13

(Explanation in a different post, promise </3)

Day 13: A song I sing to in the shower.

Better Days by Dianne Reeves.

Haha, yeah. I only have the confidence to sing this when I am in the shower cos I feel like nobody can hear me. See, the bathroom is where I can birit to death and not be ashamed of it. I can sing, yeah, but my voice just won't go as high as when I am in the shower when I sing in front of an audience. It frustrates me... a lot. One day, I will be able to sing this in front of y'all. I'll bring my shower curtain nalang para sure. Heehee :)

9.21.2013

Making Up for Day 12

(Explanation in a different post, but I really am sorry for being AWOL. Huhubels)

Day 12: A song that reminds me of my bestfriend.

One and the Same by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

She's Demi, I'm Selena. Ang feeler namin diba. HAHAHA. No, we meant the traits, and all the stuff. Demi sings high notes, and Selena sings low notes, and is more of an alto than a soprano. Demi wears girly stuff, while Selena is into simple clothes. Selena has all the crushes, and Demi gets all the crushes. This is exactly how my bestfriend and I could be described. Like Demi, she's forever single, but blossoms when she has a relationship. Like Selena, I always end up with epic fail relationships. Life sucks, but it's great. Heehee.

Well, the song says it all. I can't believe a song that best describes us (pati yung parts ng both singers) exists! Thank you Demi and Selena. <3
It may seem cliche for me to wanna say that you're not alone. And you can call me uncool, but it's a simple fact. I got your back!

9.19.2013

Summer Belongs to You

Day 11: A song that reminds me of summer.

Summer Belongs to You. OST of Phineas and Ferb.

Ang summer-y ng vibe nyan. Promise. Listen to it so you'll get what I'm saying. Haha. The song may not be talking about beaches and bikinis, pero the lyrics speaks about a wonderful summer. See, hindi naman kailangang nasa beach or exclusive resort ka every summer. There are a lot of ways to enjoy summer without getting sunburned.
Just remember that you can do it and when you're through, it will change your point of view. Summer belongs to you!

9.18.2013

Making Up for Day 10

OMG, I suck Day 9 was late, and now hindi ako umabot for Day 10. I'm sorry. Internet's crappy :( here's Day 10 anyway.

Day 10: A song that makes me cry.

A Little Bit Longer by Nick Jonas.

He wrote this song because of his diabetes. IDK. I don't have diabetes, but I feel like I can relate to the song. A little bit longer, and I'll be fine. Just watch the vid. You'll get what I'm saying.
This song is for every broken heart. For every high, and for every low. And for every person who has ever felt alone. But tonight, this song... This song is for you.

Making up for Day 9

I'm really really sorry I wasn't able to post for day 9 yesterday. The internet was down. So here's my post that was supposedly for September 17.

Day 9: A song that makes me want to dance.

Bye Bye Bye by Nsync.

Of course, y'all probably know by now that JC Chasez was my first love. I still get kilig all over when I listen to his voice, and mind you. I was in cloud 1000 when Nsync reunited for the VMA's and J.T's Vanguard Award. That was a total OMG moment.

So yeah. Bye Bye Bye makes me want to dance, so much. Their dance steps are too catchy. OMG, I know the  steps from the refrain through the hook. And I'm still learning the verses. Yeah, and I am bragging now. Heehee.
Now I've really come to see that life would be much better once you're gone.

9.16.2013

Skater Boy

Day 8: A song I liked when I was younger.

Sk8r Boi by Avril Lavigne.

I don't know. I am just into upbeat music. You know. The ones that kinda make you want to dance. Heehee. Anyway. I liked, no, LOVED this song because it shows a rebel side at the end of the video. JOKE. Haha, there's a part kasi when Avril slammed a car's windshield using an electric guitar. Like upbeat music, I am kinda into violence too. I remember saying somewhere in this blog that I am a murderer in the making. Heehee. No worries. I am trying to rid myself of violence now. This is just my jam. :)
Sorry, girl, but you missed out. Well, tough luck, that boy's mine now. We are more than just good friends, and this is how the story ends.

9.15.2013

Life is a Roller Coaster

Day 7: A song that is my guilty pleasure.

Life is a Rollercoaster by Ronan Keating.

I just lalaLOVE the way he starts of by "HEY BEYBEEEH"... Mwahaha. Plus, my dad thinks this song sucks because this is not the usual Ronan Keating stuff. Trust me, I find this very very entertaining. Haha. I know it's a classic song already, but this is my jam. I feel like dancing everytime I hear this song.

Okay, this was supposed to be Kiss You by One Direction, but nobody beats my Keating, baby. <3

9.14.2013

Two Worlds Collide

Day 6: A song I can always relate to.

Two Worlds Collide by Demi Lovato.

Actually when I was a kid, I could always relate to Mama by Spice Girls. I don't know, maybe because I was a little rebel back then. Now I've grown, and realized serious things, I think this could be my theme song. The two worlds being my two homes.
She was scared, unprepared. Lost in the dark, falling apart. But I can survive with you by my side. This is what happens when two worlds collide.
Yes, I am scared and unprepared. But everytime I feel my two worlds are in perfect harmony, I feel like I can take on anything. "You've given me the strength to find hope."
You has your dreams, I have mine. You had your fears, I was fine. You showed me what I couldn't find, when two different worlds collide.

9.13.2013

Flashback Friday the 13th

It's Flashback Friday! What did you do today? Hey it's also Friday the 13th! Malas ngayon? I think not. Today is movie day. And since it's Flashback Friday, I decided to watch a classic. And, no. I did not watch Friday the 13th, FYI.

A Walk to Remember. I find it funny na napanood ko na to several times, but I still get teary, and I still get the feels. So nostalgic. Wala lang. I just wanted to spend some alone time with myself instead of laying around and having a very unproductive day like every day. So yeah.

My sister is having her Flashback Friday, too! Hers is a classic LSS (Last song syndrome).

U Got it Bad by Usher. Classic :)

Bakit may Friday the 13th sa title? Wala lang. Trip ko lang. HAHA! How about you? What's your Flashback for today? :)

Comfort > Style

I believe that the essence of fashion is comfort before style. - Ai ai delas Alas (Sisterakas)
Dear readers, I have a question to ask. What do you usually wear when you go out? Are you into the trendy stuff like Sharpay Evans?

Got a problem?

Do you create your own fashion standards like the "queen bees"?

Are you one of the skater dudes?

Are you a rocker like these girls?

Are you a girly "Girl Next Door" type?

Or do you rep that "Flip Through The Closet and Grab Whatever is Comfortable" kind of style?

Photo imported from Julie Anne's Instagram

Well. I just want to tell you that it doesn't matter what you wear, just as long as you're comfortable. NOT. Hey, sometimes you have to dress appropriately too. Consider where you're going and what you're doing before you plan on what to wear. I remember this one time when we went to an amusement park, and some of my friends were so chiq. Like, "Hey, san tungo?" They wore skirts and dresses, and I was like:

DAFUQ ARE YOU WEARING!?

How can you be comfortable in an amusement park when you're wearing skirts or dresses? We had to ride this huge roller coaster then, and I was seated beside the one wearing a skater skirt. She kept squealing and shouting, "AAAAH! YUNG SKIRT KO NILILIPAD!" Like, duh! Baka hindi liparin eh ang lakas ng hangin while we were on the ride. Badtrip. And oh, I didn't enjoy that ride, FYI. I had to ride it again with a dude beside me so I can experience the thrills. HAHA!

And oh, I remember another time when we went on a mall crawl. I was in my usual get-up. Shirt, jeans, sneaks, and a jacket, just in case I get cold. And some of our friends wore 3 or maybe 4-inched heels! In the middle of our mall crawl, they kept whining, and telling us that we need to rest for a while cos their feet were hurting. I swear I almost made them crawl. Literally. Same thing happens in school. I rep that "Flip Through The Closet and Grab Whatever is Comfortable" look during normal days. And I hate seeing people overdress in school. Like, anong kala nila sa school? Runway? Wth.

It's not that I hate people who overdress, or dress up. I dress up too, you know. Occasionally. But not too much to be the center of attraction. Just enough to not be the wall flower.

Are you getting me, here? Whatever you wear doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable. But please. Pretty please. Wear them appropriately. And appropriate doesn't mean wearing tight-fitting pants and three-inched heels on a community service. Appropriate means wearing a nurse's uniform because you're a nurse. Charot lang. Aprropriate means wearing a cocktail dress in a formal party, or wearing a rugged pair of sneakers on a gig. Oh, and guys, don't forget. Wearing a jacket in a tropical country isn't as appropriate as wearing summer outfit on summer. I guess, during "taglamig" would be an exception. But those who wear varsity jackets or hip coats just to brag kahit mainit naman, please. If we know... Basa na mga kili kili nyo.

Peace yo! :)

Pen and Ink

Day 5: A song that has a new meaning to me everytime I hear it.

Pen and Ink by the late Master Rapper, Francis Magalona. A dad. A legend.

When I first heard this song, I thought, "Hey, that's one hella wordplay!" But as I listen to it more, it became more of a song about Rizal's famous quote, "The pen is mightier than the sword." But then again, as it became one of my favorite songs, it seemed a bit more about expression to me. That you do not need violence in order to express your innermost thoughts and feelings. Write it down. And trust me, once you start expressing, it would be hard to stop :)

"The power of the mind translates into the pen."

9.12.2013

Movie Night

There's really nothing for me to do, so I lined up a couple chick flicks to watch through the night. Yeah, I know... Not my Noir kinda stuff. I decided to change it for I might end up being he criminal. I'm a murderer in the making, you know. So I channeled my interests to the wholesome kiligs and kabaduyan. I hope these are worth a shot. HAHA!

So Undercover (Miley Cyrus)

Monte Carlo (Selena Gomez)

Another Cinderella Story (Selena Gomez)

Is it becoming a little too obvious that I am a Disney Fan? I hope not. Cos I'm planning to watch Paranormal Activity 5 just because Demi Lovato has a role there. I sure hope she's not the ghoul.

Spring Breakers (Selena Gomez)

And last, but not the least...

LOL: Laughing Out Loud (Miley Cyrus)

I'm really fond of Disney Girls. I love the way they dress. HAHA! The two Disney girls closest to my heart are Miley and Selena (A little too obvious there). I even watched Hannah Montana the Movie and Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie! Probably because of their fashion sense... And oh! They dated the Disney Guy who is MY FUTURE HUSBAND (Charot lang)... NICK JONAS. Oh yea :">

Well. That's a heck load of movies. Hello Friday the 13th! Let's watch movies together. Goodnight Everybody!

I'm With You

Day 4: A song that reminds me of something sad.

I'm With You by Avril Lavigne.

It's a damn, cold night. Trying to figure out this life. Won't you take me by the hand, take me somewhere new. I don't know who you are, but I, I'm with you.
Yes. Sad. I know we all went through our "emo years" when we were young. Hey, back in 2005, emo was cool! But no, I'm not one of those emo chicks, or goth girls. Hell, no. Not that I loathe them, I just ain't one of them. I was just a normal teen trying to battle everyday life with the pieces of a broken family in my pocket. Drama? Yes, too much. This was my theme song while I was busy finding out who I really was. And I can totally say, I was quite a loser back in my younger years. Sobra. I was bullied, and because I didn't fight back, I was always set up, and I often end up being punished for a mistake I didn't do. Yeah. Sad.

"Isn't anyone trying to find me? Won't somebody come take me home?"

9.11.2013

Sirena

Day 3: A song that makes me laugh.

Sirena by Gloc 9 and Ebe Dancel.

Hey don't get me wrong ha. I find it funny and amusing at the same time. I laugh at the lyrics not because I;m making fun of someone and it relates to it so much, but instead I laugh at it cos I'm amazed that Gloc 9 is so open minded that he writes songs like these that serves as eye-openers. And the lyrics, hey, saktong sakto. I find it funny na kailangan pang gawan ng kanta yung mga ganitong bagay bago mapansin ng ibang tao, when in fact, what the lyrics illustrate are happening right under our noses. Mas pinipili lang nating magbulag-bulagan. Woah! I didn't know I could be this deep! :))

9.10.2013

Dear God

Day 2: A song that helps me clear my head.

Dear God by Nick Jonas.

I've been listening to this song since 2009 when I first heard it. Whenever I feel down, or confused, or lost, I just listen to this. It's like an instant prayer. There are times when I would be emotionally drained, like I'm so fed up, and my mind is clouded with all the negative thoughts the world could offer. But I'd just sing along to the lyrics, and utter a simple prayer afterwards. And then, just like magic, I would feel a lot better.

Dear God, won't You send a sign down just to ease my doubt. I'm trying to hear you, but the silence is so loud. I think I see a rainbow from behind the clouds. And I hear you now, Dear God.

9.09.2013

Stay Healthy. Sleep early.

Kakapuyat mo, hihina resistensya mo. Ikaw rin. Magsa-suffer ka rin pag dumating yung araw na di na kaya ng katawan mo yung sobrang pagpupuyat.

That's what mom and dad always tell me. They be like "You don't listen to us, face the consequence" and I be like, "Gosh I'm not a kid anymore" and yeah. I'm a brat. Thank you for that.

But sometimes, when I have nothing to do but think about stuff, it crosses my mind that my parents are probably right. Since I entered 3rd year college, I haven't been getting the right amount of sleep. I would usually sleep for, like, 3-4 hours a day, or sometimes 16-20 hours a week lang. Imagine that! And lately I've been sleeping at 4 am, and I wake up at 12 noon. I know, 8 hours yun, but still, not healthy. Since my sleeping patterns got messed up, I get serious headaches a lot. At first I thought, hey, that's normal cos I'm always puyat. But no. It's getting worse. Not to mention ang dali kong mahawa sa cough and colds. I get sick easily. You kow the feeling when you have this headache na parang hinihiwa yung ulo mo? The throbbing one, and then the next few days, nilalagnat ka na. That's what happens to me all the time.

Like right now. I am battling a massive headache. Yeah, as massive as having your head be slammed against a wall. OA na kung OA, but it hurts. A lot. It throbs, and I feel like throwing up. It hurts so bad, I wanna cry. I know you're gonna tell me to go to sleep and rest instead of blogging nonsense, but hey, I just want to share what happens to me whenever I get so puyat or walang tulog and all. Especially to the youngsters who have the luxury of time in their hands.

Photo imported from Instagram

I know, nowadays, lacking sleep or being able to stay up until the wee hours of the morning is cool. I remember someone saying "OMG I can't sleep. Umaga na. Help me. Huhuhu", and she posted her status at 12:40 am. Wow. Hardcore. Samantalang I can stay awake til 5 am, or go through 50 hours without sleeping. You find it cool? Trust me, it's not. I get dizzy at times, and I would even throw up because of headache. It also interferes with my vision. It's always blurred na nga, and then I'll make puyat pa. Gosh, I might go blind. And when you're in school, lacking sleep doesn't help. At all. I remember a time when I stayed awake for 3 days. I was like a zombie. My mind was clouded and I talked nonsense. I couldn't even walk straight. Lack of sleep also messed up my endurance, that I get tired easily during training. And I always get sick.

You get the point? Lacking sleep doesn't just interfere with your everyday activities, but also your health. When we sleep, it's when our body recharges everything that needs to be recharged. It's where our body rejuvenates, or whatever it is called. That's why sleep was invented, so if you can't rest during the day, at least let your body rest at night. If you have assignments to do, that is not an excuse. When we were young, we were told that our homework should be done before bedtime. Time management lang yan.

You guys... I mean, WE (Cos I'm still a bum), who still have the luxury of time, let's not waste sleeping time for nonsense like chatting, tweeting, stalking or posting selfies at midnight. Sleeping is one aide to keep our body healthy. If you can't eat right, at least let your body self-repair your body tissues as you sleep. I'm not saying we should sleep at 8:00 pm like kids, but just see to it that you get enough sleep. You'll never know what will happen the next day, so it's better to have your body prepared. Malay mo magkasunog (wag naman sana) sa school/workplace nyo, and everyone is in panic and you don't know what's happening around you, and your body couldn't respond to the mayhem just because you didn't sleep well last night. Edi ikaw pa yung naiwan sa building. Diba. Get some sleep so you won't be zombified the next day.

Well, it's getting late, and my headache just makes me want to scream. It throbs so much that I don't even wanna yawn. I guess I have to give this body of mine a good night sleep. Remember guys. Stay healthy, sleep early. Good night!

Born For This

Day 1: A song that makes me happy.

Born For This by Paramore. Especially the live version from Final Riot, Chicago. I don't know why, but my heart jumps with glee every time I hear Hayley belt out the hook. Oh and I love the intro there, where the band pops out one by one, starting with Josh Farro (My love), followed by Taylor York, then Zac Farro and Jeremy Davis together, and finally, HAYLEY! It's sad that the Farros had to leave the band. But hey, Paramore is still Paramore. :)

"Everybody sing like it's the last song you will ever sing."

30-day Song Challenge

Almost everyone I follow on Tumblr is doing this. I want to try it too. Hehe.

I know, I know. It's not September 1. But who said you have to start a 30-day song challenge on the first day of the month? Hindi yun required noh. HAHAHA!

I looked for a list that isn't so hard to follow. Gah! I didn't know there was so many versions! Akala ko standard to. Haha. So, I ended up choosing this cos it's the easiest one I found.

Mission Rosalinda

Well, this is MY movie of the day.

I was browsing websites through websites for the perfect movie to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon, but I can't seem to find any. Then I heard Two Worlds Collide play from my looped playlist. It reminded me of this movie.

Thanks, Google, for easy-access images *wink*

Yes, Disney Channel's Mission Rosalinda: The Princess Protection Program. It stars real-life best friends (And Barney girls!) Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. It premiered June 26, 2009, and one of the many Disney Channel Original Movies that won as Choice Summer TV Show in the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Of course hindi ko alam yang mga bagay na yan. All I know is to watch and eat while watching. Thanks to old pal GooglexWikipedia for the information. Hehe

A normal dad would go to a foreign country on a secret mission, and bring his daughter back a t-shirt. Not a person. - Carter Mason
I'm not sure about the "would go to a foreign country on a secret mission" part, but I think that's what I heard the last time I watched it. Hehe (No, I didn't watch the movie now. I'll explain later)

The plot goes around Princess Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fiore (Bongga ng pangalan diba), played by Demi Lovato, masquerading as a normal American teen named Rosie, because her country, Costa Luna, has been invaded on the day of her coronation. Joe Mason, who runs the PPP (Princess Protection Program) came to the rescue, and helped Rosie to hiding. Joe's daughter, Carter Mason, played by Selena Gomez does not approve about it, and she was so maldita to Rosie. But I love the way Carter taught Rosie how to eat a hamburger without looking like "you're having tea with the queen". Definitely one of my favorite scenes.

I don't want to spoil it, I want you to watch it yourself. It's a good movie, I swear. Yeah, it's a teenage movie, but Carter's sacrifice moved me. The moral is no matter how much of a bitch you are to someone, you'll eventually be softened once you get to know the person better. In short, "Don't judge the book by it's cover" (Echos lang)

Sadly, I wasn't able to watch it now, cos just when my download was almost finished, my cousins came to play with us, and I don't wanna be the KJ cousin again, so I obliged. We went to the plaza, we ate cotton candy, and many more. So yeah. Imma be watching this movie next Sunday, I guess. Huehuehue

Juice Jab: Detoxify

I've read about Juice Jab on Saab Magalona's blog the other day. I thought about it last night, and since I have been eating less lately (Only 1 or 2 meals a day), why not give this Juice Jab a shot? Instead of eating nothing during breakfast or lunch, why not replace it with fresh juice, courtesy of Juice Jab?

I haven't talked to my mom about this cos I'm still thinking of a good way to tell her without her having a notion that I am going on a diet (Cos I never will). But I think this is a good and refreshing way to detoxify, other than my grandmother's fresh tea leaves that taste like.... Whatever. And, hey, it's not that expensive as well.

Image form spellsaab.com

Okay, I thought of this time table na rin para sure. Since I usually wake up at noon, I don't eat breakfast. I eat a lot at lunch and get too lazy to eat dinner na. So I can automatically replace two meals with fresh juices. See this screen cap I took from Saab's page:

Image from spellsaab.com

I'll go for the moderate jab, I guess. Sayang naman kung mild lang, and then I'll only eat once a day. Benefits! Aside from getting fit again, I'll get cleansed inside pa. O diba, bongga.

I have to thank Saab for posts like this. I learn a lot from her. But hindi ko kaya yung strong jab nila ni Jim. Haha!

Last Song Syndrome

To listen to music before going out of the house, and having the last song you hear before leaving stick in your head all through your journey, and beyond. Is usually accompanied by subconscious humming. This syndrome is particularly dangerous when the song happens to be the most pathetic, crappy, albeit catchy song ever.
Source: Urban Dictionary

Mas kilala ng bagets as LSS. We all have these. Antawa ko lang sa last sentence nung definition. Heehee :)

How did I end up with this LSS today?? Well, my little sissy had been into glee clubs and choirs lately. Yes she loves singing, but she didn't know the difference between falsetto, kulot, alon, and nginig. So she asked me if I know. I do know the difference between the four, but I don't know how to explain. I'm a great singer, if you might ask. Our shower head is my biggest fan (Nakanampots!). I tried to demonstrate how different those four are, but I have a bad cough right now, I'm so paos and I can't sing. So I tried to make her understand by saying:

Yung falsetto, parang iniipit. Yung kulot, yung parang nilalaro mo yung prolonged note. Yung alon, one tone lang sya, pero nilalagyan mo ng alon (Ay, napaka-literal). Yung nginig naman, yung nagiging resulta nung prolonged note kapag tama yung breathing mo and hindi mo nilalagyan ng kulot.

Well, I tried my best. Still, when I looked at her, NGANGA. She still didn't get it. So I thought of a song na may falsetto, kulot, alon and nginig. On The Line by Demi Lovato.

Just listen to Demi's voice throughout the song, and you'll hear a falsetto, alon and nginig. Unfortunately, walang kulot dyan. So I gave her another song to listen to para ma-gets nya yung kulot. I remembered Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona's take on Thinking About You by Frank Ocean.

On the second chorus, you can hear Julie's kulot as she sings "Or do you not think so far ahead? Cos I've been thinking 'bout forever. Heyiyiyieiyeayeahh". Basta ganun. To let her hear a clear version of falsetto (Though meron din dyan sa version na yan, but I just want her to hear it clearer), here's Fly With Me by Jonas Brothers.

Skip to 02:59 to hear the transition of Nick's voice from his normal singing voice to a clear falsetto.

Okay wala lang. Ang dami kong shinare noh, pero LSS lang naman ang usapan. Sorry na talaga, Hihi :)

So after hearing the three songs, may idea na si bunso kung anong difference ng falsetto, kulot, alon and nginig. For our LSS? We ended up singing On The Line since our training ended, up to now that we are about to go to bed. Hay. Sister love. <3

Apologies are often open-ended, but this one's better left unsaid. - On The Line, DLovato

Eating Less x Splashy Summer

What does eating less have to do with a splashy summer? Tapos na kaya summer sa Pinas. Hello?

No. Haha. I just want to blog about a summer escapade, and eating less na rin. I have been eating less kasi lately, and I have no idea why. I'm not on a diet naman. It's just that.... wala akong gana? This feeling is kinda new to me. See, I'm always labeled as matakaw, then, bigla nalang I get so full easily. Okay, splashy summer. Hmm... I had this feeling right before we went on an electoral escapade at Splash Island, Laguna (Electoral Escapade, kase we got the promo that's scheduled May 13. Heehee). I also had a really small appetite back then, and when it was time for us to finally visit Splashy (Yes, it's our first time), I was so slim.

Me, ate, Ayra and mom

See? Okay, not really that slim, but fit. Yeah, fit. Fit enough to have confidence to wear a muscle tee and my playing shorts outdoors :))

Me, ate, Kuya Paul(ate's beau) and Ayra. Heck yeah! I'm the
tall one! Haha :P

I have been eating less for almost two weeks now, and I still have no idea why. But then again, I thought of it as an advantage. Being a bum helped me gain a lot of weight, and this "eating less" chenes might actually help me be fit again. We'll be having an out-of-town trip in less than a month, and this may be my answered prayer. I can wear muscle tees and short-shorts again!

Mom, ate, me and Ayra with two cousins TJ and AJ

Look at that! Short-shorts! And I didn't even look like a suman! Mom said we'll be visiting Sipaway Island on our trip. I don't know where that is cos I haven't been there yet, but they say it's a famous beach in our province, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. Well, I guess me eating less would really help me bring the Sexy Back on the Sipaway Island shores!

Or sun bathe like there won't be any other chance.

Or lay around like this without looking like a lost balyena asking for help.

Okay maybe this is a miracle that destiny wanted to happen. Even old pal destiny wants me to look dashing in a muscle shirt and short-shorts (I don't wear two-piece bikini, sorry) when we do visit the beach. I hope to not be disappointed by the beach though, cos I wasn't really happy with our Splash Island experience. It rained on us for almost 2 hours, and we only got to enjoy the resort and the slides for 3 hours. Knowing it's a public resort, we had to fall in line and wait for our turn to ride the slides. So we all had only one try. Not to mention, the water gave me the ITch of summer.

Disregard the happy faces enjoying the splashes with some random boy

I was happy I didn't get sunburned because it rained, but the rashes were far worse than my allergies. I didn't even dare take a picture cos I was disgusted. You can see it in the photo that the water looks like we're the thousandth who dipped in it. Very far from the clear blue chlorinated water that gets replaced every night. Well, at least I got to flaunt my assets without making a fool of myself. Nakanaman! :)

Oh, pardon the low quality photos. We had to use underwater cameras for the shots so we can bring em anywhere. Here's a bonus photo of my ate filled with joy as she found a big orange salbabida.

She loves orange
She'll punch me when she sees this. Hahaha! Toodles! :)

What's in Your Bag?

I've been seeing posts like these everywhere, so I'll just make my own version. I'm a certified lakwatsera, but I loathe bringing bags. I go to night outs and other stuff, but I don't bring a bag. I put everything in my pocket. Just like tonight. I was supposed to be in a night out with my childhood friends, but unfortunately, cough and colds hit me, my mom wouldn't let me go. BOOOO! :(

Okay, I had it all planned. My outfit, my tight pants. But, BAHM! I couldn't go. So I sat in front of my laptop and decided to just blog about "What's in my bag?", or for a bag-hater like me, "What's in my pocket?"

Wherever I go, I only bring four things with me.

My coin purse, a small comb, iTouch 4th Gen and my
Android phone(not in photo)

I can't leave home without a comb. It's like my better half. I'd rather lose my hanky than lose my comb. The iTouch, which I normally use for entertainment while waiting can also be for picture taking, just in case my droid's battery dies. My phone is the all-purpose one, which I always use as a camera, an mp3 player, and of course, a phone. My coin purse works wonders! It's almost the same size as my comb, but it serves as my mini-bag.

What's inside my coin purse?

Inside my coin purse, you can find a pair of hair clips from Broadway Gems (in case I get irritated with my bangs. Call of duty lang yang dalawang yan), an extra battery for my Android phone, the key to my room, a Baby Lips lip balm from Maybelline New York for my dry, chappy lips (Php89 lang yan! Chos), and of course, my money, which is mostly coins, because I prefer riding the jeepney than cabs or buses. They get me to my destination faster. Aim high, Pasay! Echos lang :)

I don't really hate bringing bags. It's just that, nakakairita kasi. I always use public transportation because I still don't have a driver's license (You're 21 for crying out loud!), and you know that feeling when you get trapped in a stampede? LOL, OA lang. Yung kailangan mong makipagsiksikan, like sa LRT/MRT, or standing ovation ka sa bus, or masikip yung jeep na nasakyan mo and it's so puno. And you have a bag that's so bulky cos you're so OC and you always bring a payong and other "important stuff" with you. HASSLE! Plus, I have this habit na "basta saksak" lang ng gamit sa bag, so when I'm looking for something, my bag automatically turns into a mini-black hole. Kaya I don't carry a bag nalang, unless it's so important that I really need to bring one, pero kung saglitang gimik lang, I only bring those four things lang. Hassle free. Hayahay ang buhay, sabi nga ng mga Radio DJ's.

So that's what's in my bag. Ay, in my pockets pala. How about yours?

Jetlag

I have always been reprimanded for my bad (or should I say worst) sleeping habits. I usually sleep at around 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning. It's ironic, because I lie down at 11:00 every night. I don't really consider this insomnia. Ayoko namang maging OA. I guess it's just that, my body clock has changed rhythm since I graduated from college, since I had nothing to do but lay around all day. Yes, I am officially a bum.

So this brings me to my OWN timezone. I call it YTN -8:00, as in Yung Time Nyo minus 8 hours. Why? Because.... I don't know. I just feel like it. Heehee. Kidding. I notice my younger sister being drowsy by 8:00 pm. And then she'll start snoring by 10:00 pm. She's 15. I guess that's the normal body clock of a teenager. But for me, 10:00 pm is where my body feels like it's 2:00 pm. Like meryenda time, or my lakwatsa time with my buddies. I feel so hyped from 10:00 pm onwards. And... I don't know why. :(

Okay, cut the crap. I've been experiencing a lot of headaches and body pains lately, and I tell you, those headaches are massive. You know, when they say "massive headahce", yung parang mina-maso (pinupukpok) yung ulo mo. Charot, comedy ng konti. Heehee. No, seriously. Sobrang sakit, I get teary. So I thought of a few reasons that give me trouble falling asleep, and came up with a few things to remember that might actually help me fall asleep early. Here's some:

  1. Do not watch horror movies! Especially if you're matatakutin. Hello!? Matatakutin ka na nga, tatakutin mo pa sarili mo. This is the main culprit that keeps me up all night.
I forgot kung anong episode to, but credits to Google for the
    gif they got from nicksan.tumblr.com
Yes, pretty  much ganyan ang ichura ko gabi-gabi. I know naman na I'm really MATATAKUTIN, pero I love to give myself a good scare. Most of the time pa nga, I would curl up like a fetus, kasi feeling ko may hihila ng paa ko, or iipitin ko yung kumot ko using my thighs, para walang makahila. Paranoid much? I just watched The Conjuring, like, three weeks ago. Nung may Maring pa. And up to now may epekto parin sakin. My friends told me it was more nakakagulat than nakakatakot. HA-HA. EH SA NATATAKOT AKO EH. BAKIT BA. :( Okay this one is too long na. Kasi this is my main problem talaga. I can't sleep because I'm scared. Childish? OO NA. Dahil dyan sa The Conjuring na yan, I wait for 3:07 am to pass, so I'll know it's safe to go to sleep without having my leg be pulled by an unseen element. AWOOO!
  2. Do not use your laptops/gadgets from 10:00 pm onwards. I feel like a parent reprimanding a child. Heehee. One of the main reasons we teens (Yes, nakiki-teens!) stay awake late at night is browsing the web. Yes. Social networking. Chatting on Facebook, Tweeting non-stop, answering nonsense ask.fm questions. Trust me, I've been there, I've done that..... and I think I'm still there. Pero guys, seriously. If you want to sleep early, try not using your laptop, or your phones, or your desktop, or any other gadget when it's past bedtime. Ako, personally, I shoo away my takot from horror movies by web browsing from my phone But I realized, lalo lang akong nahirapan matulog. So no gadgets kapag bedtime na ha. Jusko, matutulog nalang magse-selfie pa? Puuhhhleeeeazzze!
  3. Do not over-think things. Lalo kung pa-tulog ka na. I usually do this when I put away my gadgets. Matutulog ka na nga lang, mag-iisip ka pa ng kung anu-ano. What for? They say it is the best time to think of scenarios you wish to happen. Is that like, daydreaming? Hay nako teh. Clear your mind nalang. Daydreaming pa, eh gabi na. SUS!
  4. Do not go to sleep without having dinner. Diet? Di uso yan. I've experienced this one time. I forgot to eat dinner because I came home late from gimik with my friends. I was so tired and sleepy then, but at the same time I was hungry. My eyes wanted to sleep na, but my brain kept telling me to get up and go find something to eat. It's literally like a war of the heart and mind (which is a good song by Bamboo, by the way). Even if you're on a diet, go grab something to munch on for dinner, para walang battle of the brains and intestines when you go to bed.
  5. Do not take a bath right before going to bed. Pwede naman siguro mga an hour or two before. I used to do this. Taking a bath, drying my hair, then going straight to bed. During college days, I'd just fall asleep right away. Maybe because of the physical and emotional fatigue (I'd fall asleep almost anywhere back then). But ngayon, I just proved na nakakawala ng antok when you take a bath right before bedtime. Yung tipong antok na antok ka na, but you have to take a bath because it is your first shower since you woke up, and poof! Naglakbay na si antok. Payong kaibigan, pag walang pasok, wag kalimutan maligo ng maaga. Para hindi maantala yung antok. :)
Hmmm... That's literally a FEW. Heehee. Well, that's all I could come up for now. If you have anything to add, please fell free to share it on the comments below.

I think I should start doing this list now. It's never too late to fix a messed up body clock, right? :)

BULAGA!

Well hello there folks! I welcome myself to the blog world.... again. Yeah I know I'm kinda nonsense, but hey. Please welcome me. I just want to fit in. *Drama. Echos lang*

Okay, so here's a true blue BULAGA moment.

Excuse the ugliness. I just want to emphasize the excitement that I have finally found a new inspiration to finally blog again. Finally. (Paulit-ulit!?)

You see, I was a random blogger before. Bat op cors, yu dunno dat cos I deleted all my blogsss. Yeah, I was a... hm. A very masipag blogger back in my high school days. But... Anyareh? IRDK :( But now... I can feel the blogging vibe in me again. (If such a vibe exists. Heehee)

So I must say... Welcome back, my old, irresponsible blogger self! Echos lang yung irresponsible. I have grown! I have to be more mature and responsible now. Yehes naman! Well, now. I promise to discipline myself to post at least one entry a day, not like my one-entry-a-week style of blogging before. So. Heto ako. Basang basa sa ulan! Charot lang. What I wanted to say is... Heto ako. Manggugulo ng araw nyo. No, joke lang. Makakadagdag lang ako sa babasahin nyo.

Please bear with me, cos I'm kinda new at this site. I don't know how to tinkle with all the HTML stuff cos I just use ready-made layouts when I blog on Tumblr, and my Tumblr page are just re-blogs. Not my kind of stuff. So, I'm sorry if my page is not that catchy, or is not that interesting. But I promise you, my random posts would be interesting. I'll probably start tomorrow. Hihi :)

Oh, hey. You can also contact me on Twitter. I felt the need to put this as closing, cos I don't know how to add those widgets (what're they called?) yet. So yeah. Nice meeting you all! :)
