Kiss You

Day 15: A song nobody expects me to like.

Kiss You by One Direction.

HAHAHA K. Yeah, I like it because it's upbeat. You know how I love upbeat music. But I guess I started really liking this song when Yassi Pressman sang this on Kalerki-oke (Pinoy version of Crazy Karaoke). She was riding the rodeo bull while singing this, and it was so funny. She was yelling "OH MY GOD" on every pause. Trust me, it was hilarious. HAHA. LOL. Love ko po si Yassi, and I liked this song because she sang it. AND, because Keso Boys made their rendition, too. Check it out:

Hi Elmo Magalona. Hihi :">

Making Up for Day 13

(Explanation in a different post, promise </3)

Day 13: A song I sing to in the shower.

Better Days by Dianne Reeves.

Haha, yeah. I only have the confidence to sing this when I am in the shower cos I feel like nobody can hear me. See, the bathroom is where I can birit to death and not be ashamed of it. I can sing, yeah, but my voice just won't go as high as when I am in the shower when I sing in front of an audience. It frustrates me... a lot. One day, I will be able to sing this in front of y'all. I'll bring my shower curtain nalang para sure. Heehee :)

Making Up for Day 12

(Explanation in a different post, but I really am sorry for being AWOL. Huhubels)

Day 12: A song that reminds me of my bestfriend.

One and the Same by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

She's Demi, I'm Selena. Ang feeler namin diba. HAHAHA. No, we meant the traits, and all the stuff. Demi sings high notes, and Selena sings low notes, and is more of an alto than a soprano. Demi wears girly stuff, while Selena is into simple clothes. Selena has all the crushes, and Demi gets all the crushes. This is exactly how my bestfriend and I could be described. Like Demi, she's forever single, but blossoms when she has a relationship. Like Selena, I always end up with epic fail relationships. Life sucks, but it's great. Heehee.

Well, the song says it all. I can't believe a song that best describes us (pati yung parts ng both singers) exists! Thank you Demi and Selena. <3
It may seem cliche for me to wanna say that you're not alone. And you can call me uncool, but it's a simple fact. I got your back!

Making Up for Day 10

OMG, I suck Day 9 was late, and now hindi ako umabot for Day 10. I'm sorry. Internet's crappy :( here's Day 10 anyway.

Day 10: A song that makes me cry.

A Little Bit Longer by Nick Jonas.

He wrote this song because of his diabetes. IDK. I don't have diabetes, but I feel like I can relate to the song. A little bit longer, and I'll be fine. Just watch the vid. You'll get what I'm saying.
This song is for every broken heart. For every high, and for every low. And for every person who has ever felt alone. But tonight, this song... This song is for you.

Making up for Day 9

I'm really really sorry I wasn't able to post for day 9 yesterday. The internet was down. So here's my post that was supposedly for September 17.

Day 9: A song that makes me want to dance.

Bye Bye Bye by Nsync.

Of course, y'all probably know by now that JC Chasez was my first love. I still get kilig all over when I listen to his voice, and mind you. I was in cloud 1000 when Nsync reunited for the VMA's and J.T's Vanguard Award. That was a total OMG moment.

So yeah. Bye Bye Bye makes me want to dance, so much. Their dance steps are too catchy. OMG, I know the  steps from the refrain through the hook. And I'm still learning the verses. Yeah, and I am bragging now. Heehee.
Now I've really come to see that life would be much better once you're gone.

Skater Boy

Day 8: A song I liked when I was younger.

Sk8r Boi by Avril Lavigne.

I don't know. I am just into upbeat music. You know. The ones that kinda make you want to dance. Heehee. Anyway. I liked, no, LOVED this song because it shows a rebel side at the end of the video. JOKE. Haha, there's a part kasi when Avril slammed a car's windshield using an electric guitar. Like upbeat music, I am kinda into violence too. I remember saying somewhere in this blog that I am a murderer in the making. Heehee. No worries. I am trying to rid myself of violence now. This is just my jam. :)
Sorry, girl, but you missed out. Well, tough luck, that boy's mine now. We are more than just good friends, and this is how the story ends.

Life is a Roller Coaster

Day 7: A song that is my guilty pleasure.

Life is a Rollercoaster by Ronan Keating.

I just lalaLOVE the way he starts of by "HEY BEYBEEEH"... Mwahaha. Plus, my dad thinks this song sucks because this is not the usual Ronan Keating stuff. Trust me, I find this very very entertaining. Haha. I know it's a classic song already, but this is my jam. I feel like dancing everytime I hear this song.

Okay, this was supposed to be Kiss You by One Direction, but nobody beats my Keating, baby. <3

Flashback Friday the 13th

It's Flashback Friday! What did you do today? Hey it's also Friday the 13th! Malas ngayon? I think not. Today is movie day. And since it's Flashback Friday, I decided to watch a classic. And, no. I did not watch Friday the 13th, FYI.

A Walk to Remember. I find it funny na napanood ko na to several times, but I still get teary, and I still get the feels. So nostalgic. Wala lang. I just wanted to spend some alone time with myself instead of laying around and having a very unproductive day like every day. So yeah.

My sister is having her Flashback Friday, too! Hers is a classic LSS (Last song syndrome).

U Got it Bad by Usher. Classic :)

Bakit may Friday the 13th sa title? Wala lang. Trip ko lang. HAHA! How about you? What's your Flashback for today? :)

Comfort > Style

I believe that the essence of fashion is comfort before style. - Ai ai delas Alas (Sisterakas)
Dear readers, I have a question to ask. What do you usually wear when you go out? Are you into the trendy stuff like Sharpay Evans?

Got a problem?

Do you create your own fashion standards like the "queen bees"?

Are you one of the skater dudes?

Are you a rocker like these girls?

Are you a girly "Girl Next Door" type?

Or do you rep that "Flip Through The Closet and Grab Whatever is Comfortable" kind of style?

Photo imported from Julie Anne's Instagram

Well. I just want to tell you that it doesn't matter what you wear, just as long as you're comfortable. NOT. Hey, sometimes you have to dress appropriately too. Consider where you're going and what you're doing before you plan on what to wear. I remember this one time when we went to an amusement park, and some of my friends were so chiq. Like, "Hey, san tungo?" They wore skirts and dresses, and I was like:

DAFUQ ARE YOU WEARING!?

How can you be comfortable in an amusement park when you're wearing skirts or dresses? We had to ride this huge roller coaster then, and I was seated beside the one wearing a skater skirt. She kept squealing and shouting, "AAAAH! YUNG SKIRT KO NILILIPAD!" Like, duh! Baka hindi liparin eh ang lakas ng hangin while we were on the ride. Badtrip. And oh, I didn't enjoy that ride, FYI. I had to ride it again with a dude beside me so I can experience the thrills. HAHA!

And oh, I remember another time when we went on a mall crawl. I was in my usual get-up. Shirt, jeans, sneaks, and a jacket, just in case I get cold. And some of our friends wore 3 or maybe 4-inched heels! In the middle of our mall crawl, they kept whining, and telling us that we need to rest for a while cos their feet were hurting. I swear I almost made them crawl. Literally. Same thing happens in school. I rep that "Flip Through The Closet and Grab Whatever is Comfortable" look during normal days. And I hate seeing people overdress in school. Like, anong kala nila sa school? Runway? Wth.

It's not that I hate people who overdress, or dress up. I dress up too, you know. Occasionally. But not too much to be the center of attraction. Just enough to not be the wall flower.

Are you getting me, here? Whatever you wear doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable. But please. Pretty please. Wear them appropriately. And appropriate doesn't mean wearing tight-fitting pants and three-inched heels on a community service. Appropriate means wearing a nurse's uniform because you're a nurse. Charot lang. Aprropriate means wearing a cocktail dress in a formal party, or wearing a rugged pair of sneakers on a gig. Oh, and guys, don't forget. Wearing a jacket in a tropical country isn't as appropriate as wearing summer outfit on summer. I guess, during "taglamig" would be an exception. But those who wear varsity jackets or hip coats just to brag kahit mainit naman, please. If we know... Basa na mga kili kili nyo.

Peace yo! :)

Mission Rosalinda

Well, this is MY movie of the day.

I was browsing websites through websites for the perfect movie to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon, but I can't seem to find any. Then I heard Two Worlds Collide play from my looped playlist. It reminded me of this movie.

Thanks, Google, for easy-access images *wink*

Yes, Disney Channel's Mission Rosalinda: The Princess Protection Program. It stars real-life best friends (And Barney girls!) Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. It premiered June 26, 2009, and one of the many Disney Channel Original Movies that won as Choice Summer TV Show in the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Of course hindi ko alam yang mga bagay na yan. All I know is to watch and eat while watching. Thanks to old pal GooglexWikipedia for the information. Hehe

A normal dad would go to a foreign country on a secret mission, and bring his daughter back a t-shirt. Not a person. - Carter Mason
I'm not sure about the "would go to a foreign country on a secret mission" part, but I think that's what I heard the last time I watched it. Hehe (No, I didn't watch the movie now. I'll explain later)

The plot goes around Princess Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fiore (Bongga ng pangalan diba), played by Demi Lovato, masquerading as a normal American teen named Rosie, because her country, Costa Luna, has been invaded on the day of her coronation. Joe Mason, who runs the PPP (Princess Protection Program) came to the rescue, and helped Rosie to hiding. Joe's daughter, Carter Mason, played by Selena Gomez does not approve about it, and she was so maldita to Rosie. But I love the way Carter taught Rosie how to eat a hamburger without looking like "you're having tea with the queen". Definitely one of my favorite scenes.

I don't want to spoil it, I want you to watch it yourself. It's a good movie, I swear. Yeah, it's a teenage movie, but Carter's sacrifice moved me. The moral is no matter how much of a bitch you are to someone, you'll eventually be softened once you get to know the person better. In short, "Don't judge the book by it's cover" (Echos lang)

Sadly, I wasn't able to watch it now, cos just when my download was almost finished, my cousins came to play with us, and I don't wanna be the KJ cousin again, so I obliged. We went to the plaza, we ate cotton candy, and many more. So yeah. Imma be watching this movie next Sunday, I guess. Huehuehue

Eating Less x Splashy Summer

What does eating less have to do with a splashy summer? Tapos na kaya summer sa Pinas. Hello?

No. Haha. I just want to blog about a summer escapade, and eating less na rin. I have been eating less kasi lately, and I have no idea why. I'm not on a diet naman. It's just that.... wala akong gana? This feeling is kinda new to me. See, I'm always labeled as matakaw, then, bigla nalang I get so full easily. Okay, splashy summer. Hmm... I had this feeling right before we went on an electoral escapade at Splash Island, Laguna (Electoral Escapade, kase we got the promo that's scheduled May 13. Heehee). I also had a really small appetite back then, and when it was time for us to finally visit Splashy (Yes, it's our first time), I was so slim.

Me, ate, Ayra and mom

See? Okay, not really that slim, but fit. Yeah, fit. Fit enough to have confidence to wear a muscle tee and my playing shorts outdoors :))

Me, ate, Kuya Paul(ate's beau) and Ayra. Heck yeah! I'm the
tall one! Haha :P

I have been eating less for almost two weeks now, and I still have no idea why. But then again, I thought of it as an advantage. Being a bum helped me gain a lot of weight, and this "eating less" chenes might actually help me be fit again. We'll be having an out-of-town trip in less than a month, and this may be my answered prayer. I can wear muscle tees and short-shorts again!

Mom, ate, me and Ayra with two cousins TJ and AJ

Look at that! Short-shorts! And I didn't even look like a suman! Mom said we'll be visiting Sipaway Island on our trip. I don't know where that is cos I haven't been there yet, but they say it's a famous beach in our province, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. Well, I guess me eating less would really help me bring the Sexy Back on the Sipaway Island shores!

Or sun bathe like there won't be any other chance.

Or lay around like this without looking like a lost balyena asking for help.

Okay maybe this is a miracle that destiny wanted to happen. Even old pal destiny wants me to look dashing in a muscle shirt and short-shorts (I don't wear two-piece bikini, sorry) when we do visit the beach. I hope to not be disappointed by the beach though, cos I wasn't really happy with our Splash Island experience. It rained on us for almost 2 hours, and we only got to enjoy the resort and the slides for 3 hours. Knowing it's a public resort, we had to fall in line and wait for our turn to ride the slides. So we all had only one try. Not to mention, the water gave me the ITch of summer.

Disregard the happy faces enjoying the splashes with some random boy

I was happy I didn't get sunburned because it rained, but the rashes were far worse than my allergies. I didn't even dare take a picture cos I was disgusted. You can see it in the photo that the water looks like we're the thousandth who dipped in it. Very far from the clear blue chlorinated water that gets replaced every night. Well, at least I got to flaunt my assets without making a fool of myself. Nakanaman! :)

Oh, pardon the low quality photos. We had to use underwater cameras for the shots so we can bring em anywhere. Here's a bonus photo of my ate filled with joy as she found a big orange salbabida.

She loves orange
She'll punch me when she sees this. Hahaha! Toodles! :)

What's in Your Bag?

I've been seeing posts like these everywhere, so I'll just make my own version. I'm a certified lakwatsera, but I loathe bringing bags. I go to night outs and other stuff, but I don't bring a bag. I put everything in my pocket. Just like tonight. I was supposed to be in a night out with my childhood friends, but unfortunately, cough and colds hit me, my mom wouldn't let me go. BOOOO! :(

Okay, I had it all planned. My outfit, my tight pants. But, BAHM! I couldn't go. So I sat in front of my laptop and decided to just blog about "What's in my bag?", or for a bag-hater like me, "What's in my pocket?"

Wherever I go, I only bring four things with me.

My coin purse, a small comb, iTouch 4th Gen and my
Android phone(not in photo)

I can't leave home without a comb. It's like my better half. I'd rather lose my hanky than lose my comb. The iTouch, which I normally use for entertainment while waiting can also be for picture taking, just in case my droid's battery dies. My phone is the all-purpose one, which I always use as a camera, an mp3 player, and of course, a phone. My coin purse works wonders! It's almost the same size as my comb, but it serves as my mini-bag.

What's inside my coin purse?

Inside my coin purse, you can find a pair of hair clips from Broadway Gems (in case I get irritated with my bangs. Call of duty lang yang dalawang yan), an extra battery for my Android phone, the key to my room, a Baby Lips lip balm from Maybelline New York for my dry, chappy lips (Php89 lang yan! Chos), and of course, my money, which is mostly coins, because I prefer riding the jeepney than cabs or buses. They get me to my destination faster. Aim high, Pasay! Echos lang :)

I don't really hate bringing bags. It's just that, nakakairita kasi. I always use public transportation because I still don't have a driver's license (You're 21 for crying out loud!), and you know that feeling when you get trapped in a stampede? LOL, OA lang. Yung kailangan mong makipagsiksikan, like sa LRT/MRT, or standing ovation ka sa bus, or masikip yung jeep na nasakyan mo and it's so puno. And you have a bag that's so bulky cos you're so OC and you always bring a payong and other "important stuff" with you. HASSLE! Plus, I have this habit na "basta saksak" lang ng gamit sa bag, so when I'm looking for something, my bag automatically turns into a mini-black hole. Kaya I don't carry a bag nalang, unless it's so important that I really need to bring one, pero kung saglitang gimik lang, I only bring those four things lang. Hassle free. Hayahay ang buhay, sabi nga ng mga Radio DJ's.

So that's what's in my bag. Ay, in my pockets pala. How about yours?
